Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will visit Gujarat, which is going to polls on Dec 9, today to address a public meeting in Porbandar. Later he will be visiting the Dalit Shakti Kendra to accept the National flag prepared by them. Gandhi is also expected address a meeting in Patidar-dominated Nikol area where is likely to meet Hardik Patel.

Former Zimbabwe vice president Emmerson Mnangagwa will be sworn in as the President today. President Robert Mugabe resigned on 21st November bringing an end to 37 years of authoritarian rule in the country. Mnangagwa was fired by Mugabe on Nov 6 over a succession tussle that prompted military intervention.

The second Test match between India and Sri Lanka will begin in Nagpur today. Technically equipped Murali Vijay will make a comeback in playing XI and rookie Vijay Shankar is expected to be given his maiden Test cap in today’s match.
