Gold prices today fell Rs 20 to Rs 24,909 per 10 grams at the futures trade amid a weak global trend.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in far-month October was trading lower by Rs 20 or 0.08 per cent at Rs 24,909 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 355 lots.
Also, the precious metal for delivery in August shed Rs 11 or 0.04 per cent to Rs 24,709 per ten grams in 720 lots.
Analysts attributed the fall in gold futures to a weak global trend as the Federal Reserve moved closer to boosting US interest rates for the first time since 2006.
Globally gold fell 0.4 per cent to $1,092.49 an ounce in Singapore.
