Digital Guardian, a US-based data protection platform, has started its operations in India.
The Hyderabad facility will focus on enterprise product development, along with software-security. With over 350 employees working for it globally, the company is planning to hire 150 for its Hyderabad facility in the next 18-24 months. It started the operations with a small team to kick start work.
The Digital Guardian (DG) Data Protection Platform offered by the company protects intellectual property and critical data from threats originating from both inside and outside the organisation.
“This is our seventh centre globally. Digital Guardian currently serves prominent corporations like DuPont and GE in India,” a company statements said here on Tuesday.
“Our presence in India will help us reach these geographies quickly,” Ken Levine, President and CEO of Digital Guardian, said.
The firm raised $66 million in funding in December last and acquired two firms.
