Tata Motors on Wednesday said that the company is targeting the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR) as one of the important markets for its newly launched sedan – Zest.

Launched on August 12, the company flagged off 100 cars bought by customers from this region, out of which 35 were buyers of the petrol variant and the rest buyers opting for the diesel version.

“NCR is a market that loves being ahead and the car lovers here are sure to be delighted that they may choose between two great options - the first turbo-charged petrol engine in the segment, Revotron 1.2T, with the multi-mode drive or the first diesel with an AMT option,” Ranjit Yadav, President, Passenger Vehicles, Tata Motors, told reporters here.

While the petrol version is priced between Rs 4.64 lakh and Rs 5.99 lakh, the diesel variant is priced between Rs 5.64 lakh and Rs 6.99 lakh.

The company said it has already received over 10,000 walk in inquiries and 26,000 inquiries on both online and its call centre for the latest car from its stable.

Tata Motors has 17 showrooms in the Delhi-NCR and 28 service stations. Out of the 17 dealers, 10 are also equipped with workshops for convenience of the customers, Amit Sagar, National Sales Head – North and West (Passenger Vehicles unit), Tata Motors, said.
