Agrochemical manufacturer, Insecticides (India) Ltd, is planning to bring some products from Japan and the US to the Indian market.

``We are in talks with a Japanese firm  and a US company for technology and distribution agreements to bring their products to the Indian market,’’ its Managing Director, Rajesh Aggarwal told newspersons at a press conference held here on Tuesday. He did not, however, disclose any further details on the matter.

The company, which recently launched a herbicide, Green Label, for paddy crop, has lined up over half a dozen products for launch. ``We have a strong pipeline for products on new formulations and combination products to be launched shortly,’’ Aggarwal said.

Though the company plans to launch Green Label in markets across the country, the major markets are Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, he added.

Insecticides (India), which posted a turnover of Rs 988 crore in 2015-16 as against Rs 964 crore in the previous year, is expecting 20 per cent growth in the current financial year to clock Rs 1,200 crore.

Its scrip gained 0.95 per cent on the Bombay Stock Exchange on Tuesday and is trading at Rs 445.95.
