The Income Tax department conducted searches at the Chettinad Group in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Mumbai on Wednesday.
A senior official who confirmed this to The Hindu says that searches are being conducted in 30 places in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Mumbai. The department suspects a tax evasion. "The raid has nothing to do with the ongoing family feud," said the Income Tax Department source.
