Sanjeev Kaushik, who is presently Deputy Managing Director of IIFCL, has been entrusted with the additional charge of the post of Chairman & Managing Director of this institution with effect from June 12.
India Infrastructure Finance Company Limited (IIFCL) is a government owned company and was established in January 2006 with the objective of providing long-term finance to viable infrastructure projects.
It may be recalled that the Centre had in January this year given six months extension to S B Nayar, Chairman & Managing Director, IIFCL. Nayar was to superannuate in mid-January, but was given six months extension.
Kaushik is currently also in charge of IFCI as its Chief Executive Officer. In this capacity, Kaushik is serving as the Chairman of Stock Holding Corporation of India, Tourism Finance Corporation and IFCI Venture Capital Company.
